Message from Ecotourism Australia

Welcome to Hobart and our 24th Global Eco Conference

This year our 24th Annual Global Eco Conference will be in Hobart - a vibrant and exciting city that is shaking up tourism all across Australia. Over the past few years Tasmania has continually punched above its weight by delivering strong performances at the Australian Tourism Awards, the Museum of Old and New Art's (MONA) innovation, the high quality of their tour operations and spectacular growth in visitor numbers and yield.

The Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service (a key sponsor of Global Eco) has been a catalyst for this change and we applaud their innovation and courage to make brave decisions and take calculated risks that have created the environment where ecotourism can flourish. Exciting products such as the Three Capes Walk demonstrate TPWS' commitment in this area.

Join us in November to hear from and interact with other ecotourism professionals, with the added bonus of the plenary sessions being held inside MONA (including a special viewing)! Who could ask for more?

Last year we gained our highest satisfaction levels from our delegates since we collected records. This has inspired us to do even better this year with a great cast of international and national keynote speakers, panels, interactive sessions and a great social package to build your networks.

If you've never been to a Global Eco Conference, talk to one of our regular delegates and let them tell you what it's like, and if you are returning it will be great to see you again.

See you in Hobart.
