Strategic Partnerships

This Forum will feature discussion on destination planning, development and innovative engagement. The emphasis on partnerships and collaboration will allow delegates to explore the essential ingredients that enable different stakeholders and interests to successfully plan and deliver ecotourism products and services.

Indigenous Cultural Tourism Forum

This Forum will provide papers and case studies on innovative Indigenous tourism products and tourism operations involving Indigenous peoples and cultural dimensions. Innovative cultural tourism products and programs from across the Asia Pacific will be profiled and direct engagement with industry leaders encouraged.

Marketing in the 21st Century

Delegates will be provided with practical and proven techniques and examples of how to market and present your tourism product in an increasingly digital and mobile world. Speakers will examine emerging trends and case studies demonstrating innovative campaigns. This is an opportunity to learn some ‘trade secrets’ and speak directly with experts in their field.

Tourism in Protected Areas

Critical to sustainable tourism operations in protected and sensitive areas is careful planning, design and collaboration. This Forum will take the time to examine a number of leading examples of how the demands of successful tourism ‘product’ can be effectively integrated with the requirements of sensible resource and asset management.

Operator’s Marketplace

A number of global leaders will combine with local operators to provide and outstanding mix of business acumen. Practical business examples and learnings will be the result with delegates posing questions and enquiries to those at the forefront of ecotourism and responsible tourism operations as we stride into the 21st century.

Geotourism Forum

Geotourism helps to conserve our geo-heritage and provides an understanding of earth sciences. It is linked to ecotourism in that its core product is part of the natural environment, but it differs in its focus on geology and landscapes. This Forum will help Ecotourism practitioners understand how the geology and landscapes of a region can be an integral element of the ecotourism and visitor experience.
